On 29 April 2020 we successfully held the tourism webinar Tourism during and after the coronavirus.
Thank you for the strong interest in this first event of its kind, which brought the tourism industry together in an online seminar on how to respond to the coronavirus situation. The online seminar format is a natural continuation of the events we have organised over the years, such as Travel Mind Workshop and a wide range of trainings, open lectures and forums, all united by one mission: to make the Bulgarian tourism industry more competitive on a global scale.
The TRAVEL MIND WEBINAR brought together representatives of the entire tourism sector, including hotels, resorts, guest houses, hotel chains, tour operators, travel agencies, tourist attractions, spa resorts, tour guides, restaurants, amusement parks, the public sector, municipalities, universities, the non-governmental sector and others. The speakers were Konstantin Zankov and Veselina Vasileva.
The first part of the online seminar covered current global and European trends for the future of tourism at national and international level.
The speakers presented good practices and examples from six European countries, showing the steps they are taking to deal with the situation and restore tourism. They also outlined the trends and opportunities for global and national tourism.
The speakers looked at safety and the other factors that will be decisive for the future of tourism companies and destinations, and shared the steps businesses and destinations need to take to strengthen their position during the pandemic.
The second part of the webinar was devoted to marketing tools and communication planning for the current period.
In the third part of the webinar, the speakers answered all the participants' questions.
